Today Joel Kennedy Construction (JKC) crews began to mobilize the area, Phases 1 & 2, including the staging of materials and equipment on Broadway, from Bryn Mawr going north to Thorndale.
The west curb lane was milled, Bryn Mawr north to Thorndale, and the plan is to finish the milling or asphalt removal from Bryn Mawr going south to Foster on Wednesday, 4/6.
The “No Parking” signs on Broadway, south of Bryn Mawr, will be removed where possible after the milling is completed.
Until work is completed in both Phase 1 & 2, traffic on Broadway, in the work areas of both phases, will be reduced starting at 7:00am to two (2) lanes of southbound traffic and one (1) lane of northbound traffic until 9:00am and then traffic will be reduced to one (1) lane of traffic in each direction until 4:00pm.
Traffic will go back to two (2) lanes in each direction after 4:00pm.
Weather permitting, watermain installation will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5, in Phase 1.
Weekly email updates will also be included in Ald. Osterman’s Friday email newsletter.
