Great news for the neighborhood!
“Edge of Sweetness, a collaboration between longtime Edgewater resident Kate Merrill, owner of Kate’s Cookies, and fellow Chicago baker Paige Tyler, owner of Homemade Sin Bakery, will occupy the storefront that was formerly home to True Nature Health Foods, 6034 N. Broadway.
Kate and Paige envision their new shop, which they plan to open this fall, as a true community place, where neighbors will be able to gather for coffee and good food. They also hope to add patio seating during the summer months and host cooking classes, birthday parties, and other events. In the meantime, you can taste and purchase some of Kate and Paige’s baked treats on Saturday mornings (9 am-1 pm) at the Edgewater Farmers Market in the Broadway Armory parking lot (at Thorndale).” – Alderman Osterman
