The Illinois Dept. of Transportation (IDOT) and the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) have been leading a study to improve North Lake Shore Drive (NLSD) and the adjacent park trails for the past several years. As part of this study, CDOT reviewed traffic patterns on Sheridan and Broadway north of Bryn Mawr up to Devon as these areas receive high volumes of traffic and are critical points in our community.
On Wednesday, October 30th at 6:30 pm at the Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway, and at 10am Sat. Nov. 2nd at St. Andrew Greek Church, 5649 N. Sheridan Rd, CDOT will review and provide feedback on proposed alternatives for new traffic plans. The meeting formats for both meetings will be the same, including a presentation and workshop.
As our quality of life in Edgewater Glen is greatly impacted by the amount of car traffic on Broadway, we strongly encourage residents to attend one of these meetings.
