Watch the 48th Ward Aldermanic Run-off Forum

Thanks to our friends at the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce for filming, editing, and posting the video from last night’s forum. Thanks again to all of the block club presidents, the three Chambers of Commerce, Pat Whalen (who did a great job moderating!), Father Bob and the folks at St Ita’s for hosting, and a big shout out to Christina Pfitzinger from the Edgewater Chamber making it happen. We are lucky to have her in the community.

Read Joe & Leni’s responses to the Block Club survey:
The results of the 48th Ward block club coalition survey were distributed back in January. Along with the other candidates, Joe and Leni responded to more than 30 questions addressing governing style, city finances, economic development, environment, housing, public safety, and transportation.

You can learn more about the survey and how it was created at the end of this message. Download the list of questions, the combined responses, and the individual candidate responses in PDF and Excel format from this Google Drive.

Compare candidate responses, side-by-side in your browser, in this Google Sheet. If you have trouble accessing the file, you can view the file as web page, or download the Excel file from the Google Drive.

EGA Spring Plant Swap Sat. May 20th from 10 am until Noon

Edgewater Glen’s Spring Plant Swap will be held Saturday, May 20th, from 10 am until noon in the backyard at 1420 W. Glenlake, weather permitting. The rain delay alternative date is Sunday, May 21st, same time & place.

Spring is a great time to thin and share hostas, ferns, and any other plants or gardening paraphernalia for which you would like to find a home. Even if you don’t have anything to share, come and meet your gardening neighbors. We usually have leftovers that need a home. For more info, contact Kim Kaulas at kaulas@rcn.com or (773)368-3949.
