Senn Park: Brick Fundraising Campaign

As you may know the Senn Park Advisory Council is active again. Their first important accomplishment was the finalization of the new design for the Senn Play Lot at Elmdale and Greenview. The goal for completion of construction is the end of 2016. Thanks to the Chicago Park District & Alderman Osterman for funding and thanks to residents who gave input via meetings, surveys and presentations.

The Advisory Council wants to provide additional programs, activities and other details in all areas of the Senn Parks complex. Since CPD & government budgets are tight, they have launched a Brick Fundraising Campaign. Public input on these future plans will be part of this process.

What better way to remember your family or a loved one – the gift of a permanent place in the park. Below is the information and how to order:

To buy a brick visit: https://www.bricksrus.com/order/sennpark/

The contribution from the sale of each brick will go directly towards making Senn Park’s playgrounds and gardens as special as they can be!” – Senn Park Advisory Council

As many of you know, we have a very large water main improvement project going on right now on Broadway, from Devon to Thorndale. The contractor is now ready to cross the intersection of Granville & Broadway.

On Wed. 10/28 & Thurs. 10/29, the west side of Broadway, at Granville, will be closed and will not be open for vehicular traffic. Detours will be placed at Granville & Lakewood. Westbound traffic approaching Granville will be forced to go either north or south on Broadway.

This installation should only take two days.
